Mainstream though Challenge 1 classes follow Callerlab's standardized dance programs. Mainstream (beginner) classes are taught twice a year starting in August and February, and last approximately 16 weeks. Plus, Advanced, and Challenge classes are taught once each year. The Plus class begins in August; Advanced and Challenge classes begin in September.
New students are allowed to join up to three weeks past the start of a new class. After that period, enrollment is closed to ensure steady progress is made through the call list for each level. Visit Callerlab's website (www.callerlab.org) for a complete list of calls and definitions for each dance program.
Our dances give members and students a chance to practice what they've learned in class and dance to guest callers. Dances are open to non-members and visitors. Non-members and visiting dancers are required to have completed the appropriate Callerlab based course for the level that they plan to dance. Non-dancers are always welcome. Non-dancers can observe, interact with club dancers and inform themselves about the club and square dancing so they can determine if they would like to learn to square dance.
