A New Kind of Newsletter...
We have changed the format of the club newsletter. Instead of a formal newsletter that is published every two months, an informal format will be provided, more like a message board.
Birthday listings will appear on this page, along with any messages or announcements relating to club activities and upcoming events. Club members may also submit items to appear on this page.

Chi-Town Shakedown 2010

PDP 9 "Relocate to Stone Mountain"...
Promenade Down Peachtree 9 was held on Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, January 15 - 17, 2010.

Promenade Down Peachtree 9 was a ground breaking fly-in for the Hotlanta Squares. It was the first fly-in with a host hotel, with dance halls and dinner on-site. The fly-in was held at the Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort within Stone Mountain park.

Promenade Down Peachtree featured callers Tim Marriner, Gary Monday, and our club caller J.R. St. Jean. A trails-end dance kicked things off Friday evening. Saturday several workshops, take-no-prisoners, and progressive squares kept everyone on their toes.

Some hearty dancers braved the cold weather and relaxed a bit in the outdoor hot tub between the daytime workshops and the evenings activities (one even went in the pool!).

Saturday evening was a sumptuous dinner, Western themed square dance, and some late night two-stepping with Gary Monday acting as D.J. The event wrapped up on Sunday with a brunch and final dance in the main ballroom.
