We
will offer several classes and workshops for 2011-2012.
á Winter 2012 Mainstream
Class (for square dance beginners): Tuesdays from January 3 to April 24 (not a problem
if you need to start on January 10). Tuition also includes post-graduation
dances on every Tuesday evening in May through May 29th. 17 weeks (class) plus
5 weeks (dances) for 22 weeks total.
á Advanced (A2) and Challenge 1 (C1) workshops: C1 on 1st, 3rd,
and 5th Tuesdays and A2 on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, October 18, 2011-May 29, 2012
á Challenge 1 (C1) class: every week, October 18, 2011-May 29,
2012
All
classes/workshops run from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m on
Tuesdays and are held at the Lutheran Church at 2111 Sansom
St., Philadelphia.
No
classes/workshops will be held December 27th, 2011.
Tuition includes all
Tuesday classes and dances. Tuition amounts and payment schedule depend on the
class and are shown below.
Dues are $40
annually and are due before the year's annual meeting in the spring. Each
member owes dues whether or not he/she is taking a class. Students taking
the mainstream class for the first time do not need to pay dues.
If
you need assistance paying tuition, you are welcome to speak confidentially
with our Treasurer.
The
non-tuition rate for an individual class night will be $10. Note that if
tuition is not paid by the second class in each trimester, the non-tuition rate
applies through the end of the trimester.
The
winter Mainstream class will be held on Tuesdays from January 3, 2012 to April
24, 2012 (not a problem if you need to start on January 10).

3/20/12 - $90
á Session 2 - 3/27/12 to
4/24/12 (graduation), plus Tuesday dances from 5/1/12 to 5/29/12 -$90
The
A2 and C1 workshops and the C1 class will be held in the same room. A given
night's tips will alternate between C1 class tips (every week) and A2 or C1
workshop tips (C1 on 1st, 3rd, and 5th Tuesdays; A2 on 2nd and 4th Tuesdays). The class and workshops will be taught by Betsy Gotta.
The
tuition schedule is as follows.
If
Philadelphia schools have an early dismissal, are closed, or cancel afternoon
or evening activities due to bad weather, then Tuesday night classes and
workshops are cancelled.
