2nd, 4th, and 5th Fridays, 8-10:30 PM, Plus-level during school year/Mainstream in summer. Shue-Medill Middle School, Newark, DE during school year/Ebenezer Methodist Church, Newark, DE in summer.

Square dance attire is encouraged but not required during school year, casual attire in summer. Singles are welcome, since they use dance cards. Dancing either role is fine, though you may be given a colored sash to wear to help the caller tell if you are dancing the opposite role.

Square dance attire is the norm; women usually wear long skirts or slacks. Dancing either role is fine. They often have singles, but not always.

Each dance has a particular theme. Men: long pants/jeans, long-sleeved shirts. Women: short or long-sleeved shirts, skirts/pants/jeans. They usually have singles. If dancing the opposite role, please wear something to identify your dance gender.

Busy Bees (Pitman, NJ)

Wednesdays, 8 PM (round dance lessons at 7 PM). Highland Chemical Engine Company (Fire House), 109 Woodland Avenue in Pitman, NJ. Please park in the rear.

According to Betsy, they would have a relaxed dress code and single dancers present. Many singles can dance the girl's part, and many of the experienced women can dance either part.

Couples, solos, families are welcome. The dancers wear traditional square dance attire, though sometimes women wear slacks.
