Philadelphia Independence Squares
Welcome!
Independence Squares is Philadelphia’s Gay/Lesbian/Bisexual and
Transgendered square dance club. The club teaches classes in the Mainstream,
Plus, Advanced and Challenge 1 programs of modern Western square dancing. The
call lists are those used by Callerlab[tm]. Classes are open to all, and
membership is contingent on completing the Mainstream program and paying dues.
Dances are open to all dancers who have proficiency up to the level being
danced. Current membership is approximately a 60/40 male/female ratio.
The Independence Squares Club is a member of the International Association of Gay Square Dance Clubs: A Lesbian and Gay Organization--IAGSDC [tm]
