| Iona Doublewide - well congratulations Girl ! You were so nervous before the event and look who took that smelly old boot crown home to St Louis. Just so you know, your usage of a blow up doll was so NOT original. In 2005, HRH Virginia Hamm and I, Official Lady in Waiting to HRHVH1, Lu Minaria, entered the first non-animated object in the contest. Our non-anatomically correct blow up doll, " Mannequin Skywalker from a distant planet in the galaxy of Inflatia " was not well received. We were sidelined by audience applause ( or lack thereof )and " The Fabulous Miss Cow Patty " went on to rule the HTQ Monarchy that year. But , that blow up doll you employed in your schtick got some attention and your entry on the bed being carted in by shirtless gents was another highlight. Certainly, the overall length of this event should have been less. However, it was the 25th anniversary and there was much to celebrate. Tami did a bang up job of assembling many memories and honoring the memory of the dearly departed Sybil, who had left our ranks very unexpectedly in 2008. It was one heck of a party and I for one, enjoyed myself quite a lot. |
